Hyperlinks with spaces ArcGIS Viewer for flex 3.5

I have a field that contains hyperlinks. Within these hyperlinks there are spaces. When the hyperlinks are used within flexviewer, the links do NOT work. I've tried replacing the spaces with %20 in the GIS DB but that creates the %2520 issue in flexviewer.
The hyperlinks that do NOT have spaces work great.
I created the maps using the app builder so I'm not a seasoned programmer but I'm comfortable with tweaking the config files within the app builder. So, I'm wondering if there is a way to modify the pop up config file to fix my issue or if there is easy way to fix this issue?

The %20 has worked for me in the past. But another thing you could consider is trying to remove the spaces entirely from your hyperlinks. Some links will still work without the spaces depending on what the hyperlink is pointing to. But it is just a suggestion that would require some testing on your part.
