Please Check your web server base folder url

After running the Flex app it said that I had team viewer running (which i did) and something about port 80. So i disabled teamviewer port 80 and also uninstalled it. I cant seem to get past this "Please Check your web server base folder url!"

I don�??t think i understand the post above about mapping the drive? Do you mean map a drive to my server and the location of where? I tried mapping a drive to the wwwroot folder on the server with no luck>

K, I struggled with this one as well. It turn out that, the base folder is where the viewer physically is on the disk. The base folder URL is where IIS (Internet Information Server) finds and directs the requests for the viewer to. The base URL name could be called anything and have no similarity to the folder path name.

The way to find the correct URL name is to access IIS through control panel >> admin options. If you can't access these options then your not supposed to install this unsupervised.

This reply will be way too late for you but hopeful not for others.

I am also struggling with this one.
I have checked and my user has got access to flexviewers folder, I am typing the path to my folder and I have tried with server name, FQDN, IP address and no joy whatsoever.

Any help would be apreciated.

Ok i had to look over what i did again.. it looks like i mapped a network drive to the servers from my local machine.. see pictures.. Notice in the Web Sever Base folder pat the / at the end of my path http://engrsvr/flexviewer/

I hope this helps you out because you cant do much of anything until you get past this..

jessebelcher thank you very much for your help.

I sorted this out now. I didn't follow exactly what you suggested as I am actually working on the server so no need to map a drive, but I noticed that your path mentioned ..../flexviewer and not flexviewers. So I deleted that extra S, a new folder was created under my inetpub and everything seems to be working now.
I am not entirely sure why the flexviewers didn't work, but I finally got past this.

Replies are very helpful if you're starting from scratch. I'm needing to manage\edit existing apps. I have installed Application Builder 3.5 (build date: 2013-9-19) on the server itself. The Web Server Base Folder is not in the default location. Where, exactly, do I go in IIS Manager (or elsewhere) to find the Web Server Base Folder URL?

Depends on the very of IIS...

Windows 7 AND Server 2012 AND Server 2008 R2
IIS 6.1 & 6.2 all you do is click on "Sites" under your machine name and it will list in the right hand window the Site Name, ID, Status, Binding, Path.

Windows Server 2003 R2
IIS 6.0 all you do is expand "Web Sites" under your machine name, right click "Default Web Site" and go to properties. In the new dialog that pops up choose the Home Directory tab and look for Local Path

I see a physical path (i.e., %SystemDrive%\inetpub\wwwroot) but not a URL.

However, now I'm being advised that Application Builder will not work with this setup anyway, because some of the core components of these Flex applications have been changed. It's not out-of-the-box anymore. Thank you for your response, though.

Why?.. By default App Builder uses the flexviewers folder (with the s).

Then right click default web site-manage website-start....and...works for me. Tq
