Can you post a link to your flex site? Ours is still in development and I'm always looking for inspiration and ideas. I know there's an esri page of examples but I'd like to see more.

Don't forget to update the eDrawWidget.xml file to use your cleveland State plane coordinate system for measurements. Right now for point measurements It still lists Alabama East.

Nothing super innovative or fancy here but it's a lot better than the IMS maps we used to have.

Big thanks to Robert Scheitlin and others for widgets and forum help.

These maps currently use Flex Viewer v2.2. Given the degree of mods and third party widgets involved, I don't expect to upgrade often due to the amount of effort.

I created video tutorials (links on the page with the maps) as well as extensive Help pages (link within each map).

Given our small municipal area (about 13. sq. mi.) there's not much geographic context, so I have mashed up our data with the worldwide ESRI basemaps in two ways. One, is that our City basemap comes in below the 4514 scale where ESRI stops, and I symbolized our base map to be reasonably consistent with the ESRI map. At 4514 and above, I have the City boundary and a few other features showing for a few scales on top of the ESRI basemap. The other thing I did was take advantage of the way you can give a number of basemap layers the same label name to merge more than one service into a single basemap.

I modified Robert's Identify widget a bit so that results from all map layers in a service show up in the same results box. Otherwise, the results are far too long because I show data from so many map layers and attributes. The downside is that I can only have one hyperlink per service, but so far that's not a problem.

I modified the Search and Query widgets to report results in alphabetical order.

Lots of other little modifications. Using the uncompiled version is invaluable in getting the maps to do what I want.
