Point Buffer Widget Enhancement Request

Robert,

I use the Point buffer widget a lot and think it is an excellent widget. Have you thought about extending it to also allow the user to buffer lines and polygons?

I will have to change it to the buffer widget then. I made this widget on requests that I got but I never understood what people were going to use it for as it really does not do much. Maybe you can give me an idea as to what you actually use this widget for.

We use it for determining exclusion/safety zones for incidents, areas of exploitation for certain pieces of equipment etc... I can't really go into to much detail on this forum.

I have implemented what I need to do using the advanced draw tool (today), as this widget allows you to create buffers on all types of geometry. I just thought this would be a useful addition to your buffer point widget creating as you say a general buffer widget.

I'm sure other people will find a general buffer widget useful. Like I say no rush as I have implemented this through another widget but if you do fancy upgrading I will certainly use it.
