Bjorn:

As per a previous thread I have the following setup and I am generating the following error:

This is the first line in my modified RouteWidget.xml file.

<routetasksolver>http://route.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/Route/NAServer/Route</routetasksolver>
(I've also tried <routetasksolver>https://route.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/Route/NAServer/Route</routetasksolver>)

When I use this URL in the route widget, I get a sign in screen which I populate with my AGOL for Organizations account.

Unfortunately after I enter my destination point, I get the error 9004$LAYER_NOT_EXIST. Clear and start again or add another valid stop.

If I click the reset button and add 2 more points, I still get the same error message.

I thought you have said that the IdentityManager should already be enabled so the Route service should work successfully.

Michael,

He did not say that MY widget would work with this new service URL (it is not his job to know about 3rd party widgets, and esri does not have a OTB route widget in version 3.1 or below). When you use that new new service it presents you with the IdentityManager and you provide your AGOL credentials, so the IdentityManager is doing its stuff correctly. There must be a change in how the Route service works that my widget is not handling and as I am not an AGOL Subscriber I currently have no way of testing. You are going to have to use the default url provided with my widget untill 3.2 comes out and then you will need to switch to the esri OTB directions widget.
