Configuration of non-spatial objects

Hello,

With regards to the Communications Data Management data model released this week, can anyone give me a hint where I can find information on how to configure and use/edit the lately introduced non-spatial objects?

The non spatial objects are rows in the JunctionObject and EdgeObject tables. In the comms model, you can explore these by opening the attributes of the spatial features and expanding the tree view. The attribute dialog displays the associated features similar to related features.

Here is an example from the cable. This cable contains strands which are in the CommunicationsEdgeObject table.

Thank you for publishing these links, I think the third one is what I was looking for.

Unfortunately, I don't see the "Communications Data Management Tasks" in my project (as shown in image "The Communications Data Management for ArcGIS Enterprise Project with Tasks" of link #3). When opening the Tasks menu, the only entry is the "ArcGIS Solutions Deployment Tool" (see screenshot 1).

But, reviewing the ArcGIS Solutions Deployment Tool, I can see that the "Communications Data Management for ArcGIS Enterprise v1" solution has already been successfully deployed (see screenshot 2). I even find it in my ArcGIS Portal.

So, why do the Communications Data Management Tasks not show up in my project? Did I miss something? Or maybe there is a problem with this first official version of the solution (see also my topic "Communication Model V1 - Subnetwork Configuration Is Missing" at https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-utility-network-questions/communication-model-v1-subnetwork-configuration-is-missing/td-p/1003359)?

Thank you for providing the detail. Along with our communications solutions, Esri also refreshed the ArcGIS Solution Site. Here would be how I deploy and access the solution package.

Go to the link below to find the Communications Data Management for ArcGIS Enterprise, and deploy now:

https://www.arcgis.com/apps/solutions/index.html?searchTerm=Communications&sortField=modified&sortOrder=desc#home

Then you can download the solution package from the ArcGIS Online folder:

After you unzip the file, you should be able to see the complete solution folder and open up the project:

Then you will be able to access the sample data and tasks. Simply double click on the task item and you will see the complete step by step as shown below:

Thank you very much for the hint. The only thing I was missing was to open the project (*.aprx) that is included in the solution.
How do I actually get the tasks into my project (if I chose to create my own project)?

Hi Jürgen,

You could simply export the Task item to a "Task File", and share that with other users.

One thing to point out is that these task items were built and dedicated to the Naperville sample data, which might not work with other datasets.

So you might have to re-configure them in order to create your own.
