Utility Network Trace in Field Maps Edit Selected Features

We are working on adding some tracing functionality to one of our Field Maps maps. Inside of this map users currently edit one or more features using the edit or edit multiple options. We were hoping to use the tracing in field maps to allow users to get a selection of features and then edit them. We are discovering that once features are being selected from a trace that when you use the edit multiple option it removes the selected features from the trace. Is there anyway to use these selected features from a trace in the edit multiple?

Hello @TheRrrr42,

Currently trace results cannot be used as the input for the Edit Multiple tool.

Can you please share more details on this workflow? What types of traces are being run in Field Maps? Which assets and attributes are you wanting to edit?

Hey @BenjaminSegal ,

This is for a Water Utility Network and we are having users in the field use a saved trace configuration to see what Water Device/System Valve is needing to be closed to stop the flow of water to a selected segment of water main. Currently, the users are using the edit multiple and selecting the valves they need to close from visual inspection and marking them as closed for a specified time period. Using the present status attribute.

Ideally, with this trace configuration we would be able to start the trace on a segment of water main, see all the selected valves needed to isolate, and then edit them all at the same time.
