Hi, I'm trying to perform Isolation only I don't understand why it doesn't continue to select features further down the line when there is a disconnect and a logical line connecting them by association,

That appears to be a directional device, such as a check valve. There is a bug where an isolation trace does not traverse a directional device correctly - BUG-000153133

In this case it doesn't really matter which way the backflow preventer is because I want it to select for me all the lines that dry when the valves are closed, and since the line after the backflow preventer doesn't have a water source on the other side, the line needs to dry. Anyway

Does the bug also apply to this case?

Well, not really, when the device is reversed, the trace does not traverse through the terminaled device because it is one way and flow is going against it.
