    <description>&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;In ArcGIS Utility Network, the &lt;STRONG&gt;Validate&lt;/STRONG&gt; operation is currently executed either for the &lt;STRONG&gt;current map extent&lt;/STRONG&gt; or for the &lt;STRONG&gt;entire dirty area extent&lt;/STRONG&gt;. While this approach works well, I have been wondering whether a more targeted validation mechanism could improve performance, especially for large utility networks with extensive dirty areas.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My question is whether validation rules could be executed only on the features that have been &lt;STRONG&gt;created, modified, or deleted&lt;/STRONG&gt; within the current version. Since the Utility Network already tracks edits and creates dirty areas to identify affected network locations, it seems that the validation process could potentially detect the specific changes made in the version and run validation only against those edited features and their impacted network connectivity.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;This approach could provide several benefits:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Improved validation performance in large utility networks.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Reduced processing time for editors working in versioned environments.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Faster feedback on data quality and rule violations.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Better scalability when multiple editors are making changes simultaneously.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;More efficient use of server and database resources.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Spot on.&amp;nbsp;This would be a major improvement.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I edit a long cable and some more local stuff, I have to zoom to the extent of all edits for validation to actually work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
