select_multiple_external?

Can an external choices list be used for a select_multiple question? My form works if this question is a select_one, but I get an error that says "Unknow question type' when I change the question to a select_multiple.

Hi Dan

External selects are only designed to work with choice lists associated with a cascading select, and therefore only work with a select_one question type.

Johnathan Hasthorpe‌ has the S123 team considered supporting external selects for select_multiple question types? This would be a beneficial addition for not only our organization but I could see other orgs benefiting from it as well.

Hi,

Supporting cascading (and external) selects for select_multiple is an enhancement that has been raised by a number of customers; it is logged in Esri Support as ENH-000103222 if you would like to be attached to it. At this time, there is not a definite timeline for bringing this feature into the application.
