topic Survey 123 Export in ArcGIS Survey123 Questions

I created a form in Survey 123 Connect and my form looks good, but when I export it into a CSV from Survey123 online the headers are the label, not the name, which is really clunky. The only way I can get it to work with the correct headers is to put it into ArcPro first and export from there, but because I have repeats, and don't need it in ArcPro anyway, that's creating extra steps which are then complicating my repeats. - Is there a way to export the data directly from survey123.com with the name instead of the label?

Thank you!

Camille

Re: Survey 123 Export

Hi @Camille,

In Survey123 Connect the labels become the field aliases by default, and this can result in unclear data if say you have a lot of generic 'comments' labels. However, you can use the bind::esri:fieldAlias column in the Survey123 Connect excel form to save and override field aliases differenty from the labels displayed in the survey form. This is really useful for setting up a good data schema while preserving the labels in the survey. Hope that helps!
