Survey123 Form Item URL Meaning

I'm expecting this to be something that makes me go "Of course, why didn't I realize that", but I've struggled to find documentation on what the URL parameter in the settings page for a form item in AGO does and how to configure it appropriately. Can someone fill me in on what it does exactly and the use case for it is since the only success I've had is putting a tinyURL in there?

Part of why I was interested was because I was wondering if this is something that can be used to redirect an old survey getting republished, but the answer there appears to be that isn't the intended use case. Either way, I'm still curious what it does.

Survey forms are an app item type:

I don't think it does anything unless you're doing custom app workflows.

It won't impact connect publishing, pretty confident that is tied to itemise for the survey item itself. You can only control the target feature service via the submission url and form id.

Thanks, this answers my question! I was too focused on the survey aspect of it rather than looking more broadly at the app item type you mentioned.
