Best practices for creating a Survey for pollinator pathways

Hi, looking for the best practices for creating a new survey for pollinator pathways? Should I be using the Survey 123 Connect App on my computer or https://survey123.arcgis.com

Or are they basically the same? I would like to have a hosted feature layer in the end so we can use the layer in different mapping products.

It is going to depend on your level of knowledge with XLS forms and the complexity of the form. Survey123 Connect is more versatile for form creation, but you'll need to be familiar with how to set up the spreadsheet to take full advantage of it. That comes with practice. If you're looking to get a form up with a no-code approach the web designer is the way to go, but there are some things it can't do that Connect can. You can start in the web designer and switch to Connect too, if you hit a roadblock. Personally, I prefer Connect. There are also some good samples available in Connect that you can play around with and see how different elements of a form work.

If you're creating a survey in the AGOL environment (rather than an enterprise portal) either one will publish the form and an associated hosted feature layer that contains the data submitted via the form.

Thank you! I have knowledge working with XLS forms. We had a survey created by ESRI tech services so I have been maintaining it but this is my first time creating one from the beginning.
