Same deviceid populating on different devices

I have a form that calculates deviceid and references a csv that populates a field for GPS name, and I have noticed that there are a couple of device ids that are being used by multiple different devices. In some cases, these devices are used by different people in different sections of the state, I am really not sure what is going on.

Many of our tablets are signed into the same iCloud account. Could it be from the cloud account syncing app files between devices?

On one of the tablets, I re-installed the Survey 123 app to force a new deviceid, but I would like to understand what is going on here so I can prevent it in the future.

ESRI - Was a solution for this ever created? I am having the same issue (we have 10+ tablets and only two unique deviceIDs showing up) and I would like to solve this issue.

@TomReyes , did reinstalling the app result in new and unique deviceIDs for all your devices?
