Delete field created by 'Other'

I have the Other Survey123 created field. I have already unselected the Allow Other (was previously published in allow mode)

I dont want to use the Other feature and would like to delete this Field, however nothing seems to work? Have tried in PRO, in Map View, in Field View,,,,,

Have you republished the survey with the "or_other" removed? Following that, you should be able to delete the field link normal from Portal. If not, what error are you seeing?

yes, I just get the spinning wheel of death... it never saves

Spinning wheel of death in Portal? I'd recommend contacting Esri Support. Failing that, your question may get more help in either the AGO or Enterprise forms (depending on your set-up).

Also, have you checked your logs yet to see if there are any associated errors? I'm sure it goes without saying, but there shouldn't be any errors during that operation normally.
