In order to try and keep my form simple I have a select multiple list (7 options) followed by integer questions that have appearance of numbers, the integer questions are only relevant following being selected in the select multiple question.

If an option is selected and the number is added the data is stored and exported as a number. However when an option is not selected the integer number is not recorded and the exported spread sheet cell contains no data.

I have 0 set as a default in S123 and if I remove the relevant requirement for the integer question the default value is recorded as 0.

To save team members filling in zeros is there a way to force an default output of zero in this cascade of question?

Thanks for any help!

If a question is not relevant, no calculations or defaults are applied to it. If you want a question to not appear to the user in certain situations but still apply defaults and calculations when it is hidden you need to use the body::esri:visible column instead of the relevant column.

Survey123 Tricks of the Trade: hidden, relevant, and body::esri:visible
