ArcGIS Survey123 Connect version issues

Hi, I have a bunch of surveys published in ArcGIS Survey123 Connect version 3.14.261 - they are all working fine. However I have just upgraded to the latest version (3.16.106) in order to get choice_filters working in the web form and now I can't republish any of my existing surveys at all. The error I keep getting is: 'The custom feature service submission_url is not compatible with this survey. Fields not found in the feature service: 0'

Any idea how I get around this?

This problem is caused by a software defect introduced in 3.16 (planned to be addressed on Dec 6, 2022).
