Adding audio files during data collection process?

Is it possible to create a survey that enables collection and submission of audio files? We would like for users to be able to record audio while in the field using their mobile device and submit a short file with the survey. For example, we would like to collect audio files of certain bird calls.

We have tried to use Image field to upload an audio file, but that did not work.

Any suggestions?

I am very interested in such feature, too. To be able to have a button, which the user can press and record audio or eventually video if easier.

In XLS Forms there is a media::audio column, but so far I read it is only for implementing audio in the survey itself - and not for the user to upload audio recordings.

An audio question is an enhanecement we would like to do. Can you add an idea to https://community.esri.com/community/arcgis-ideas so that we can keep track of the interest?

I believe that this has been implemented

use audio as the type and you can record using your microphone
