How Are Items (text, date, etc.) Selectively Displayed Based on a List Selection?

I’ve done this with displaying a list based on another list’s selection. How is this done with a non-list item?

Your question is a little unclear. Are you trying to do this in a survey or in a report or something else?

And what do you mean by "a non-list item". Cn you give us an example of what that might be and how you might want to use it?

Sorry for lack of clarity. In a .NET app, those items I'm referring to are called Controls. I don't know what ESRI names this category of objects.

It's a Survey123 Connect project.

Based on a selected list item, how can these 'controls" be displayed or not.

I'm sorry, I still don't understand. It doesn't really clarify much to say that a "non list item" is called a "control" in another app that most people have never used. What is a "control" in a .NET app? Can you explain what it means without using jargon or references to other software?
