Creating sum from dropdown

Hi,

I'm trying to create a sum field using the input from a drop down. I have a form where individuals are asked of the age and I would like a field that will hold the sum of the various age ranges (0-17,18-29,29-30 etc). I tired doing this in Survey123 Online but the calculation is not active

Looks similar but my intention is something like this: If age = 0-17 then field 0-17 should hold the total/count entries for 0-17: Same for if age = 18-19 then field 18-19 should hold total/count entries for 18-19.

Would the "count" function do what you need?

I tried that in Survey123 online but the calculate didn't work. Let me try in the xlsform
