And I have been wondering would it be possible to add a report of the survey as an attachment and email this to the recipient?

Hi John,

It is possible, though it will require the script to create the report before release. Currently, you would need to monitor a report request to identify the parameters required for a report; a documented API for the report functionality is planned.

Yes, we plan to provide information on the API in the future when the report generation function is released.

Hi John,

We've been using Webmerge for emailing reports on submission from S123. You can include attachments and repeats in your reports as well. The app isn't free, though after a cost-benefit analysis and a review of the alternatives this made sense for our organization.
