Edit default map extent

Is there any way to change the default map extent for a geopoint in Survey123?
I set it originally but now want to adjust again to different extent.

Know I can with Survey123 Connect but any change and publish will overwrite/delete existing data.

Is there any ability to simply specify scale/extent of initial map load without a full overwrite?

Hi Douglas,

You can change the default map extent via Connect and republish the survey without losing your existing data or destroying the current feature service. If you only change the default map settings and make no other changes to the schema (ie do not add new questions to repeats, rename questions, enable attachments) the current data will be preserved in the same feature service. Changing map settings, enabling the Inbox, and even updating labels, calculations, groups, relevants, defaults and other form logic can all be done via a republish without effecting current feature service used by that survey.

If you have enabled webhooks or custom themes via the Survey123 website since you first published in Connect, or made any other Settings changes, please make sure you download the latest copy of the survey in Connect before re-publishing so you do not lose those changes made on website.
