How to set the form date to a geopoint collection date?

Greetings All,

I have been working on a field form for collecting sanitary line condition by field crews. The question came up as to whether the form "date" could be set automatically when someone selects a location or line segment on the location map, any helpful hints greatly appreciated?

Hi Mike,

If you are asking about setting the date when the location is selected in the Survey123 form, that could be possible with a function that checks if the geopoint question has a value; see the attached sheet. There's a small complication in that the geopoint question is usually automatically filled by the GPS of a device; that attached sheet specifically looks for a manual setting of the map.
