Default values in hidden fields

I'm trying to create a hidden field that has a default value of "no". I have created the form correctly but when I publish it, the default value is blank in the feature service. Any suggestions?

Hello Jarom,

Unfortunately, this is a known issue in Survey123. You can workaround this issue by putting your default values in the calculation column. Please remember to include any string values in quotation marks e.g. "no".

I am trying to set up a hidden question in my survey but I am having an issue setting it up. Does hidden go in the type column or is it its own column and I need to type something into it (like yes or no)?
