Thank you for your reply. I am familiar with unique value symbology in ArcMap desktop and web maps. The issue I am having is in Survey 123, which is based on a layer created by an Excel spreadsheet. The standard symbology is a simple pin icon, but a tutorial I watched showed the symbology changing as field edits were submitted. Since then, I have learned that the tutorial was showing the symbology on a web map being updated by field data, but the symbology on the mobile devices running Survey 123 never changes. My goal is to have the symbology on the field mobile devices change so field personnel can quickly identify the status of the points they are checking.

Collector will show unique value symbology, but its limitation is that the status field will not automatically recalculate when data is entered into other fields like Survey 123. The users in the field must update the status field manually in order to update the symbology.

Thanks again for your reply.

Merry Christmas!

Stephen Lloyd

CFA Coordinator, Regions 3 & 4

Florida Forest Service
