Report generation error

Hi. I've been following this conversation, but there have not been any responses on it from ESRI of late: /thread/213592-error-generating-report. Many people in my organization have been receiving this error message when trying to generate reports: Http failure response for https://survey123.arcgis.com/api/reportMerge/_printByWordTemplate/execute: 502 OK". If this error message is received, but we try repeatedly to generate the report, we sometimes, although not always, are able to generate it on subsequent tries. Sometimes it takes quite a few. We originally thought this might be associated with internet speed for users working remotely, but the same thing happens with fast connections. Occasionally, some surveys won't generate at all. This is not restricted to one specific survey. It is happening with many of them. We started experiencing this problem within the last month.

Hi Chris,

The issues that you are encountering are indeed related to the GeoNet thread that you referenced. We are still investigating the exact reason for the error, but, form complexity and the number of maps included in the template are thought to be some contributing factors. Please keep in mind, the report functionality is still in Beta, and we are working to improve the performance for when it is officially released. For the time being, please remain patient with the delays that you are encountering.
