Survey 123 Stopwatch/Timer

It would be very useful to have a stopwatch timer question type available. If one is in the field collecting data of a tablet or phone it is very awkward to have to use a separate device to to collect time. We currently work around this by having two time question and taking the difference, but in practice this seems to be a clunky workaround. It would be uch cleaner to have a dedicated timer question type.

I agree this would be nice - we have a survey where observations are recorded across five minutes. The observer indicates during which minute interval the observation was made (1st minute, 2nd minute, etc). Having a time to calculate that would be good.

Yes, this would be useful. I am having trouble with my technicians following a simple survey instruction for 5 minutes to account for the effort in models. It would be awesome if the survey wouldn't let them continue until after the time set.

@Kevin_FitzThe workaround we are currently using involves adding two select_one radio buttons, with instructions for users to tap the 'Start' button when the activity begins and the 'End' button when it concludes. I then use two time fields (which can be hidden) that rely on the now() calculation to capture the exact time each button is selected. Finally, either directly in the form or on the back end, I subtract the start time from the end time to calculate the total duration of the activity. I hope this helps.
