GPS Mode: Option for continues or only when using a survey

The batties get a hit when using S123 app (whole day use in the field), even in the iOS device background. Our suggestion is to activate the GPS when you start entering values into a survey and goes off (sleep) once the survey is closed. There might be a valid reason to have GPS on continuously with the app (external devices???) and hence the option for the user to decide

See this post. I wish we could maybe use the GPS icon to toggle it on and off. We have forms that take hours to complete and the GPS runs the entire time.
