Recovering past version of story map

Hey community,

I spent months on a story map with a map tour near the end. I needed to isolate the map tour as it's own very truncated version of the original story map, so I duplicated the original story map. I had both of these open in different windows, and deleted everything out of the copy that was before the map tour. Somehow I got mixed up and also deleted everything except the map tour out of the original, thinking I was working on the copy.

So now I have a copy with half the information I need, and the original with only the map tour. I lost months of work. I'm trying to figure out if there is any way to get back the older version of the story map before I started editing. It sat static for several months before I made any copies and deletions about a week ago. I don't even know where to begin -- any ideas?

@K_Jueckstock - I'm sorry to hear about this situation. While working on the original story did you ever publish? If so, you may be able to use the Discard unpublished changes option (in the ... menu) to revert your draft to that published version, which might at least have some of the lost content.

I never published it, I just duplicated it and started deleting. I had the original and the duplicate open in two different tabs and got them mixed up as I was in a rush. Previously, the story map had been published for months and months before I went crazy deleting everything. The original with all the deletions is published, and the duplicate which I deleted about half of before the mix up, I never published.
