Classic Story Map update

I have a Classic Story Map that a former employee had built.

I want to have an intern recreate the contents on whatever current platform is available.

The current map is public facing, so I do not want to alter it until a replacement has been put together.

It does not appear that I can make a copy for the intern to explore.

What is a good solution for this - if anyone has done something similar? It seems like it would have been done before.
