Explorer Map Expand option

Very frustrating that I can’t zoom in or zoom out on an Explorer Map in a Story Map using the scroll wheel on my mouse. Seems like this should be a standard feature for any mapping software these days. As an “explorer,” I need to navigate the map quickly, and using the zoom in /zoom out buttons is not cutting it.

At minimum, there should be an Expand button in the top right corner where you can get the map on full screen, then do your scroll zooming there.

Hi @DrewThrasher - Have you tried using the navigation keyboard shortcuts? These might help you move around the map more easily.

Hold SHIFT and drag a box on the map to quickly zoom to that area
Hold SHIFT+CTRL and drag a box to zoom out (the size of the box controls how far you zoom out)
Double-click on the map to incrementally zoom in on that area
Hold CTRL and double-click on the map to incrementally zoom out
