Change the content of the main window

In the Classic Storymap Map Journal there is an option available to change the content of the main window. In the text panel you can select text and with the option “change the content of the main window” you can change the layout in the main window (for example to a different webmap). Is this functionality also available in the current (new) Storymap?

@JosZwambach1 -- Thanks for asking about this. That ability isn't available at this time, but we are looking into providing it in a future update.

Please make sure to add your kudos to that idea. It would also be helpful if you could share a little more (on the Idea thread) about how you'd use this feature in ArcGIS Storymaps so we can better understand how this would enhance your stories.

Thank you for the reply. This is not a new idea, but it is functionality in the classis version and not available in the current version. Why is the functionality leave out. @JosZwambach1 -- We are planning to add this feature, but it's one of the more infrequently used features from classic, so it just hasn't been prioritized for development yet.

I updated the idea that's linked to above to In product plan to better reflect its current status.

We haven't set a date, but my best guess would be sometime in Q1 of 2022.
