Adjust map appearance - map wont load

I am trying to load a map onto a story I am creating with ArcGIS StoryMaps but the maps won't load. I click the plus sign ---> then under media I click map ---> Then I pick any map ----> and it wont load once I get to the "adjust map appearance". It's just grey. Plus when I click edit in ArcGIS nothing shows up there either. Any suggestions?

@Anonymous User - I'm sorry you are having an issue adding a map to your StoryMap. Does the map load in the ArcGIS Map Viewer or other ArcGIS apps? Do you have access to all the layers in the map? If you can share the map publicly and provide a link or webmap ID here we can take a quick look.

If you can't do that, please contact Esri Technical Support and they can help you troubleshoot.

Thank you for your response. The map does load in the ArcGIS map viewer and other apps. I do have access to all the layers. However, I can not share the map.
