Hi -- Yes, that is already possible. When you add a map to your story, it opens in the story builder's map designer. In this view you can simply use the layer list on the left to toggle layer visibility. Which ever layers are visible when you close the map designer will be the ones that are visible in your story. You can also move the map to show a different extent and that will be saved as well.

This capability can be used in sidecars to produce an experience called "map choreography," which you can read more about here and see a tutorial video about it here.

If you are asking about providing the ability for your readers to toggle layers on/off, that capability was just added in an update to ArcGIS StoryMaps that occurred last week. It's called "map actions" and it lets you add buttons that let your reader change the map view. You can read more about it here.

Hi,

In classic versions of Storymaps, it was possible to toggle on/off multiple layers in the same mapview. I'm wondering whether this will become possible again in the new Storymaps, or whether this is a functionality that I am simply unable to find.

I look forward to your responses!

Kind regards,

Callum
