Options for button placements

I really like using buttons to direct to other websites. I've had a couple of requests from colleagues to alter their placement however, which I have been unable to do.

e.g. 'centre' the button on the row so it aligns with items above or have two buttons side-by-side rather than stacked on separate lines

Would be great to have a little more placement control over these.

I find myself using tools other than StoryMaps because I cannot do simple things like centre a button. StoryMaps are far too limiting in their format and I think it is best if more layout decisions were left to the user rather than ESRI making them for us.

You can now add up to four buttons in a row. For more information, see What's new in ArcGIS StoryMaps (April 2025)

The ability to chose a button placement is now available in the theme builder and story builder. For more information, see What's new in ArcGIS StoryMaps (December 2025).
