topic How to estimate groundwater contamination from multiple sources? in ArcGIS Spatial Analyst Questions

I am looking for advice how to track contamination from multiple #groundwater contaminant sources (>1000 polygons) in ArcGIS 10.3. Particle track seems to work only for point data, but I'd need a method for a high number of polygons. The result has to be a map stating "in these areas, groundwater will be contaminated from the sources".

My current best method would be to transform the polygons to raster, raster to point, do particle track on the points, porous puff on the tracks and then combine the results - this will take ages and there has to be a more sophisticated method.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

Nils
