Hi.

I have a four-band TIFF (Band_1 ... Band_4, representing red, green, blue, and near-infrared) on which I would like to perform math, one band at a time. How can I extract a single band or reference a single band as an argument to a toolbox function such as Plus?

Yours truly,

Ronnen.

ArcView 10, Win 7

Hi,

Please try the following:

1. Launch the 'Copy Raster' tool.
Data Management Tools > Raster > Raster Dataset > Copy Raster

2. Browse to the desired multiband raster for the input raster.
. Double-click on the raster to open the various bands.
 . Select the desired band

3. Specify the output raster and run the tool.

Thank you.

In the Plus tool, just browse to the individual band. The other option is to add each band to the TOC, then the tools should see the band as a raster layer, which is valid input.

Regards,
Eric
