I am getting an error while using Region Group on a large dataset. The errors are specified below:

ERROR 010005: Unable to allocate memory.
ERROR 010067: Error in executing grid expression.

I've tried upping my virtual memory as the help menu suggests for the 010005 error, but it doesn't seem to help. I am currently running ArcGIS 9.3.1 SP2. I have 6 gigs of total Ram. The DEM I'm processing has 26240 columns and 14293 rows (approximately 360 mb file size). 5 meter resolution in UTM14 projection. All values = 1 or "nodata". Has anyone found a workaround for this other than having to process in small chunks?

Thanks.
Zach

What raster format is the DEM? Have you tried processing a different raster format? You can use the Copy Raster tool to convert the current raster into an IMG, TIFF, GRID, etc. You might also try changing your output raster format for the tool.

Not sure what the issue was, but the tool works fine in ArcGIS 10 with the same dataset.
