I have been looking online all over the place but I have not been able to find a tutorial that clearly and simply describes step by step how to do a viewshed analysis based on a dem raster.

Are you aware of any tutorial like this?

As I told you, I am looking for a step by step tutorial which esri doesn't provide. I had already found the video you posted but it does not have sound. However the mapaspect link you posted really helped thx!
