I am trying to create a surface map based on point data I have for the USA. I have 4800 datapoints for the lower 48 states in the US and the points are well distributed across the entire area. I used the kriging tool to interpolate between the points, but the output map is very splotchy and is full of spots/circles. It is a terrible map and completely unrealistic. I used all the default settings for the analysis. I've attached 2 images: one of the resulting map and one of the parameters.

How to I get a smooth map without the circles? Based on the data I have, how do I choose the best settings to run the analysis?

Thank you very much for your time and help.
