How can I extract the relative height above depth lines from a DEM? I think it is called something like "altitude above channels" in other GIS. I tried the hydrology tools but with no result. Some studies mention the Focal Statistics but I´m not sure how to proceed with this tools. I received concave and convex structures, but I need the height in metres above the local depth lines. </SPAN><BR /><BR /><SPAN>In general, which procedures of preprocessing a DEM are recommended for this analysis in addition to "Fill sinks"?
