The forested areas are sometimes connected by only one cell and I would like to create smaller sections/patches of forest from the large polygon while getting rid of these cells or assigning it to one of the patches created. I attached a photo and you can see where large areas are only connected by one cell. I could probably manually create these sections but I was wondering if there was a better way. Is there a way to delineate or create different patches in the polygon so there are separated sections of forest? I also have a raster layer that I could work with if there is a better way using a raster.
