topic adding spatial analyst extension in ArcGIS Spatial Analyst Questions

adding spatial analyst extension

I have just installed 9.3 student edition and attempted to install spatial analyst extension. I registered the installed extensions, and ArcView is working fine but the extensions are not available to be added to the tool box.

When i look in the ArcGIS desktop administrator, i can see that the extension has been registered, but is listed as not installed.

Could someone advice of the way to install this extension.

Activate it from the "Customize> Extensions" Menu

Thanks, but the spatial analyst extension is not in the menu of available extensions in the customise tab. I assume it needs to be installed from somewhere before that step. Any suggestions?

When you installed the software, you might have selected a custom install and then not installed it. Go to Add/Remove Programs and then 'modify' the ArcGIS Install. When you look at the options be sure you check to see if it is installed and then add it at that time. Once you have it installed, it should appear in the Customize mode, no matter if you have the license or not.
