      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have followed the steps in&amp;nbsp;&lt;A class="link-titled" href="http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/manage-data/raster-and-images/wkflw-combining-hillshaded-dem-with-a-scanned-map.htm" title="http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/manage-data/raster-and-images/wkflw-combining-hillshaded-dem-with-a-scanned-map.htm"&gt;Combining a hillshaded DEM with a scanned map—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;to produce a hillshade scanned map. However, the output of the map is rather dark due to the gray scale effect of hillshade. Is there a way to reduce the gray scale effect of hillshade?
