You would have to describe what "proper" results means. Do you mean unexpected results? or was there an error? Visuals would help including what you used as inputs to the tools themselves. Did you fill sinks prior to running of the tools in the Hydrology toolset? More details required.

It has very extensive help for stepping you through the processes leading to a watershed delineation. The download details are here in this discussion: New password for Arc Hydro ftp site - March 11 2014‌

Also, would suggest you might move this posting to the Arc Hydro‌ Sub-Space and apply a few tags "arc_hydro" "watershed"

Stuart

At the UC, Cody Benkelman of esri showed off their new watershed tool in the Managing LiDAR technical workshop.

It is free for now, but cheap after beta this fall.

You can use 30m NED for the USA, or 90m SRTM worldwide (how convenient for you ).

You need to use an esri login to use the free service, but in testing at the office, it works great.

This link has all the goods.

http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8e48f6209d5c4be98ebbf90502f41077‌

Report back your experience if you wouldn't mind.

Mahendar,

If you are interested in delineating using the 90m SRTM data, we (Esri) provide a watershed geoprocessing service called Watershed that will do on-the-fly watershed deleation. The source of our world data coverage is HydroSHEDS, a hydrologically conditioned version of the 90m SRTM data. The Watershed tool is still in BETA, so it is free to use if you have an ArcGIS Online organizational account. Here is a one hour live training seminar from a few months ago that shows the tool in action

Caitlin
