Hi,
I am trying to display the route that storm water would travel over a surface (DEM) or a raindrop. Finding intel from another thread I have used the Cost Path Tool to create such an output.
However, my outputs are usually very short (5 - 50 feet)
After further reading, I tried to fix the DEM by using the fill tool to eliminate sinks but again with the same result.

I am envision being to able to display the path longer.
Displaying the path to a relevant water body (wetland, river, lake).

Am I miss guided in this?

If not, what are some possible solutions to this problem?

Thanks

Eric

Hello Again,
I seem to have corrected my issue with the short segments.
I forgot to re-run flow direction tool for the post fill DEM.

Now I have a new problem.

The Cost paths look great and show the movement perfectly however, they don't seem to account for hydrological feature. Meaning, a path will come up to a stream, creek, etc. and go right by it. Sometimes it even crosses a water feature several times with no regard to the direction of water feature.

Any suggestion to fix this problem?

Thanks

Eric
