NODATA error in Viewshed Extension

Hello. I have a newbie question concerning the Viewshed Tool. When attempting to use this tool, I get the following error:

Executing: Viewshed HW_Elec.asc Monuments2 C:\Users\scott\Desktop\GIS_20\DATA\project\Viewshe_HW_E1 1 FLAT_EARTH #
Start Time: Thu Dec 09 08:35:41 2010
ERROR 010067: Error in executing grid expression. No valid Observation points present. Point 222 with coordinates 0.000, 35657162752.000 is NODATA.
Failed to execute (Viewshed)
End Time: Thu Dec 09 08:35:42 2010 (Elapsed Time: 1.00 seconds)

My "Input point or polyline observer features" is a shape file consisting of 222 geocoded points, all of which I have verified as having valid non-zero latitude and longitude values. So when the error message refers to "Point 222 with coordinates 0.000, 35657162752.000", I don't know what it's talking about, since that Point is not in the file I have specified for input. My file has FID values ranging from 0 to 221.

All parameters are defaults except for Extent, for which I have specified "Union of inputs".

Any guidance on what I am doing wrong would be gratefully accepted.

Many thanks.

- Scott
