Back up of extracted map packages

Hi,

We have a Runtime 10.1.1 application that uses local map packages with all data contained within a package. We are implementing a backup of the extracted data (which gets edited) but have found that the packages get renamed with a suffix of '1', even if we delete all extracted packages before restoring the backup.

Is there a configuration file, database or registry key somewhere in the Runtime that holds theses names? I've looked at the .cacheinfo files in C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\ArcGISRuntime\Local\ESRI\ArcGISPackageCache but deleting these still results in renaming of the restored data.

Has anyone else implemented backup and restore for local data? What process did you use?
