Visual Studio Express 2013 - Installation runtime WPF

Hello,

I can't install ArcGIS Runtime SDK for WPF 10.2 with my Visual Studio Express 2013. I've read here that this IDE can be used for development.

But in the requirements, i can't see anymore Visual Studio Express 2013.

What must I do to install the runtime WPF?

FYI, I've desinstalled Visual Studio Express 2013 and installed Visual Studio Express 2012 and now the installation for the runtime works!

Hi,

I checked with our setup team - unfortunately VS 2013 Express was released after we created the setups for the 10.2 release. Apologies for the inconsistent information in the doc.

There still seems to be an issue using vs2013 express even with 10.2.2, any word on when this issue may be fixed?

VS2013 Express Update

The controls are indeed in the toolbox~!~ They just are not show in the New Project dialog.

Now the fun begins....

Hi,

Thanks for the update, good to hear the issue is resolved. We do not install project templates for VS Express. We'll consider this for the new .NET SDK but I believe there may in fact be a technical reason why it is not possible with the setup of the project templates in the current WPF SDK.

You can find the 10.1.1 templates here: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/76291-Runtime-SDK-for-WPF-10.1.1-Missing-VS-Templates as a guide and easily create your own.

We deliberately made them very simple to help get you started. If you have any feedback on what you would like in terms of project/item templates and other aspects of Visual Studio integration please post at http://ideas.arcgis.com/ideaList?category=ArcGIS+Runtime.
