However, ArcGIS as a whole has a concept of Global IDs, which you can create before publishing the service, and then Global IDs will be auto generated for each new feature added -&amp;nbsp;&lt;A class="link-titled" href="http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/tools/data-management-toolbox/add-global-ids.htm" title="http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/tools/data-management-toolbox/add-global-ids.htm"&gt;Add Global IDs—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you want to do it yourself, then the Qt class you mention should do the trick.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
